Disability services and accessibility
Tampere has a social welfare office for the disabled, in which social welfare workers make decisions in accordance with the law.
Services that the municipal authority has specific obligation to organise are intended for the seriously disabled, who have a subjective right to them. These services include personal assistance, transport services, home renovations, and adaptation and rehabilitation guidance.

The City of Tampere tries to make an effort to be an accessible city for all. The ombudsman of accessibility is working together with different units of the city to achieve this. If you have some concerns or questions about accessibility, you should contact them.
